A mini portrait session in Mill Race of Northville Michigan.

For children photography, I believe in simplicity - less is more.
No need of many decorations, what reveal from children's eyes are the most attractive feeling. It's innocent and natural. I love to capture that feeling with my lens.

Taking photos of toddlers is very difficult as every parent may know. They don’t sit still for anything, and certainly not for a photo. Even if they do stop moving, it’s hard to get them to look into the camera and get a good smile from a toddler just by asking for one.
What I do is to have the camera out and ready before sitting the toddler down because he/she may only stay there a moment or two – but even a few moments of stillness is better than running around like a crazy person snapping photos while calling to the kid to please just stop and look.
I would also give him/her something to look at, or let them see themselves inside the camera.

Without the professional photo gears, it's almost impossible to capture the fleeting moment.

Our newborn photography service provides various costumes and all the photos are shot strictly in natural light to protect the babies' eyes.
Posed sessions must be done within the first 2 weeks of birth when the baby is very sleepy and “mold-able”. The focus in this type of session is on shots of the baby looking perfect, usually in blankets, wraps, hats, & headbands. The session can last up to 3 hours with feeding, potty breaks, and posing. Editing this type of session also takes quite a bit of time as each image needs to go through Photoshop individually to get a polished end result.

Winter is cold here, it's also a great time to do outdoor portrait.
Forget the white seamless paper – we can use snow to create an amazing high key portrait.
With such a simple and beautiful background you can't get in any other season, spending a mini session of about 20 minutes outdoor - it's worth it!
